Storm sta cercando una casa con adottanti attivi che possano portarlo per avventure olfattive in aree tranquille per passeggiate, o per una corsa in un campo privato, una famiglia che lo mantenga allenato e sicuro nel socializzare con altri cani. Potrebbe vivere con bambini di college/anno di scuola secondaria superiore che siano sicuri con un cane grande, che giochino con lui dolcemente e gli diano spazio per riposare quando necessario. Storm trova essere vicino ad altri cani un po' preoccupante, quindi vorrebbe essere l'unico animale domestico in casa in modo che possa avere tutta l'attenzione per sé e non ci siano altri cani vicini. Storm ha un po' di addestramento alle spalle, sa il suo nome e fa un bel "siediti", "sdraiati" e "fermati". È un ragazzo intelligente ma energico e si distrae facilmente, quindi potrebbe impegnarsi in sessioni brevi e dolci di addestramento con l'aiuto di un gustoso trattamento per incoraggiarlo. Sta attualmente facendo l'addestramento alla bocca perché andrà a casa con guinzaglio e museruola. Sta cercando una casa con un giardino privato e sicuro con recinzione di 6 piedi in modo che possa girovagare e avere tempo senza guinzaglio. Storm può essere un po' preoccupato se viene lasciato, potrebbe essere lasciato solo per un massimo di 1-2 ore, ma questo dovrà essere costruito gradualmente una volta che avrà avuto tempo per ambientarsi. Storm dovrà incontrare i suoi adottanti diverse volte prima di andare a casa con la possibilità di visite a casa per assicurarsi che si stia ambientando bene, quindi tenete presente questo quando fate domanda. Ama i giocattoli che fanno rumore, specialmente palline che fanno rumore, correrà dietro a loro se lanciate per lui e le riporterà per un altro giro, giocherà anche volentieri da solo saltellando sulla palla e colpendola intorno. Può essere abbastanza indipendente, ma si avvicinerà per un veloce petting prima di andarsene di nuovo, gli piace un graffio sulla testa. Storm is looking for a home with active adopters who can take him for sniffy adventures in quiet walking areas, or for a run around in a private field, a family to keep up with his training. He could live with college/sixth form aged children who are confident around a large dog, who will play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when he needs. Storm can sometimes find being in close proximity to dogs a little worrying, so would like to be the only pet in the home so he can have all of the attention to himself and no neighbouring dogs, although he could have friendly and polite walking friends who will help him to continue growing his confidence around other dogs. Storm is a super clever guy and already has some training under his belt, he knows his name and does a lovely “sit”, “down” and “stay”, he is also currently doing muzzle training as he will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer. He is looking for a home with a private, secure garden for him to potter about and have off lead time in. Storm can settle in the home as long as he has had a walk and has enrichment to keep him busy, he could be left alone for up to 1-4 hours, but this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Storm will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with the potential for home visits to make sure he is settling in well, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Super smart and handsome boy Storm is a 4 year old Shepherd cross Dobermann who loves to play and train new skills in equal measure. He is a sucker for a squeaky toy, especially a ball and adores a good zoom around, throwing the toy in the air, catching it and bounding around with it in his mouth. When out and about he is quite an independent and busy boy, exploring and sniffing everything he can find, he will approach when he fancies, but if you are sat on the sofa he will happily climb up beside you, or sometimes sploot out and nudge you out of the way for ultimate comfort. He loves a good scratch just behind the ears and he gets all wiggly and silly if you get the right spot. This gorgeous boy is ready to find his new home.
