Storm busca un hogar con adoptantes activos que puedan llevarlo a aventuras de olfateo en zonas para caminar tranquilas, o para correr en un campo privado, una familia que lo mantenga en entrenamiento y confianza al socializar con otros perros. Podría vivir con niños de universidad/sexto curso que estén seguros con un perro grande, que jueguen con él amablemente y le den espacio para descansar cuando lo necesite. Storm se siente un poco preocupado al estar cerca de otros perros, por lo tanto, le gustaría ser el único animal en el hogar para recibir toda la atención y sin perros vecinos. Storm tiene cierta formación, sabe su nombre y hace un bonito "sentado", "tumbado" y "quedado". Es un chico inteligente pero ocupado y se distrae fácilmente, por lo tanto podría participar en sesiones de entrenamiento cortas y dulces con la ayuda de un delicioso premio para motivarlo. Está haciendo actualmente entrenamiento con bozal ya que irá a casa con correa y bozal. Busca un hogar con un jardín privado y seguro con vallas de 6 pies para que pueda pasear y tener tiempo sin correa. Storm puede sentirse un poco ansioso al quedarse solo, podría quedarse solo hasta 1-2 horas, pero esto tendría que construirse lentamente una vez que haya tenido tiempo de adaptarse. Storm is looking for a home with active adopters who can take him for sniffy adventures in quiet walking areas, or for a run around in a private field, a family to keep up with his training. He could live with college/sixth form aged children who are confident around a large dog, who will play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when he needs. Storm can sometimes find being in close proximity to dogs a little worrying, so would like to be the only pet in the home so he can have all of the attention to himself and no neighbouring dogs, although he could have friendly and polite walking friends who will help him to continue growing his confidence around other dogs. Storm is a super clever guy and already has some training under his belt, he knows his name and does a lovely “sit”, “down” and “stay”, he is also currently doing muzzle training as he will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer. He is looking for a home with a private, secure garden for him to potter about and have off lead time in. Storm can settle in the home as long as he has had a walk and has enrichment to keep him busy, he could be left alone for up to 1-4 hours, but this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Storm will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with the potential for home visits to make sure he is settling in well, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Super smart and handsome boy Storm is a 4 year old Shepherd cross Dobermann who loves to play and train new skills in equal measure. He is a sucker for a squeaky toy, especially a ball and adores a good zoom around, throwing the toy in the air, catching it and bounding around with it in his mouth. When out and about he is quite an independent and busy boy, exploring and sniffing everything he can find, he will approach when he fancies, but if you are sat on the sofa he will happily climb up beside you, or sometimes sploot out and nudge you out of the way for ultimate comfort. He loves a good scratch just behind the ears and he gets all wiggly and silly if you get the right spot. This gorgeous boy is ready to find his new home.
