Toffee cerca una casa tranquilla in campagna dove possa continuare ad allenarsi. Vorrebbe la compagnia della maggior parte del tempo e un giardino sicuro con erba nella sua nuova casa. Toffee è entusiasta di accogliere le persone in casa, salterà e abbaierà all'inizio ma si calma velocemente e si sdraierà. A volte potrebbe abbaiare a persone sconosciute quando è fuori, ma è più probabile che lo faccia se sono con un altro cane. Toffee ha paura dei bambini e ha ringhiato ai bambini piccoli in casa, quindi cerchiamo una casa senza bambini, che vivano lì o vengano a visitare. Toffee viaggia bene, è abituata a un sedile per cani sul retro e ama guardare dal finestrino. Toffee ha un po' di paura quando un cane corre verso di lei, specialmente i cani più grandi. Potrebbe annusarli brevemente e poi proseguire a camminare. Non ha una natura aggressiva, ma potrebbe abbaiare se vede un cane lontano. Toffee è brava al guinzaglio e non tira. È anche molto spaventata dai fuochi d'artificio. Toffee è nervosa dal veterinario ma è ok essere esaminata. È ok essere lasciata per alcune ore e non sembra soffrire di ansia da separazione. Toffee ama andare a passeggio e gode di esplorare e annusare intorno. Toffee is looking for a quiet rural home that can continue her training. She would like company most of the time and a secure garden with grass in her new home. Toffee is excited to welcome people to the home, she will jump and bark initially but settles quickly and will lie down. She may occasionally bark at unfamiliar people when out and about but is more likely to do so if they are with another dog. Toffee is scared of children and has growled at young kids in the home so we are looking for a home with no children, living there or visiting. Toffee travels well, she is used to a dog seat in the back and enjoys looking out the window. Toffee is a bit scared when a dog runs up to her, particularly larger dogs. She may have a brief sniff of them and then continue walking. She does not have an aggressive nature, but she may bark if she sees a dog in the distance. Toffee is good on the lead and does not pull. Her recall is okay but she is easily distracted, particularly by rabbits or squirrels. This should be worked on in her new home. Toffee will tolerate being washed but will only allow her back to be brushed – she does not like to be brushed on her legs or her paws being touched. But she can tolerate this if given plenty of treats and breaks. She has been okay at the groomers but is always given a natural calming tablet beforehand. She is also very afraid of fireworks. Toffee is nervous at the vet but is fine being examined. She is fine being left for a few hours and does not seem to have separation anxiety. However, she can bark when left in an unfamiliar place such as a hotel room/holiday home. Toffee barks at loud, unfamiliar sounds outside the home. Toffee has not been to boarding kennels before. Toffee thrives on attention, love and treats. She is a real lap dog and is very happy to curl up beside you. Toffee loves going for walks and enjoys exploring and sniffing around.
