Ciao! Siamo una terza di Eclectus parrocchietti. Siamo con i nostri proprietari attuali da 6 anni e mezzo. Zanthea e Loki sono la coppia potente del gruppo, che depone uova almeno 3 volte all'anno. Zanthea è la ragazza più dolce e anche quando gli ormoni sono in atto, è ancora così dolce e tranquilla. (a patto che non ti avvicini alle sue uova!) Loki invece non tollera il principale curatore durante i periodi di riproduzione, morderà quindi tendiamo a rimuoverlo dalla stanza quando puliamo ecc. Sembra tollerare l'uomo in casa però quando entra per pulire. Milo è un tesoro sempre. Tutti vivono liberamente in una grande stanza per uccelli con altri pappagalli e hanno accesso ad una gabbia esterna. Storia/Contesto: Siamo stati precedentemente adottati da Problem Parrots, ma a causa di un cambiamento di situazione abbiamo dovuto tornare alla carità. Istruzione: Tutti voleranno verso di te liberamente, ma Loki può mordere se ha gli ormoni, quindi Loki avrà bisogno di alcuni lavori con questo. Alimentazione: A causa delle loro diete speciali, mangiano principalmente frutta e verdura fresche. Mangiano molto poco semi e sceglieranno verdura e frutta invece dei semi, il che è positivo quando vivono tra altre specie. Zanthea ha cibi ricchi di proteine e calcio soprattutto durante e dopo i suoi periodi di posa delle uova. Ricreazione: Amano niente di più che essere nella gabbia esterna. Giocano con giocattoli di legno e saranno felici di dondolarsi su corde tutto il giorno. Zanthea e Milo amano sedersi sulle tue spalle mentre vai avanti con la tua giornata. Zanthea ama i bagni quotidiani o gli spruzzi e i ragazzi generalmente si uniscono. Riepilogo: Sarebbero adatti ad una casa dove possono andare avanti con la loro giornata, idealmente una stanza per uccelli o una gabbia esterna. Si intenderanno facilmente con altri uccelli e formeranno amicizie con loro. Zanthea tende a deporre le sue uova a terra in una scatola, che è fuori dalla portata degli altri uccelli sopra. Fornendo che non vanno giù nella sua scatola è felice. Rimuoviamo le uova una volta che ha deposto e le sostituiamo con uova false, che rimuoviamo dopo circa 20 giorni. Era un uccello pienamente peloso fino a quando non ha iniziato a riprodursi e gli ormoni hanno preso il sopravvento. Ha anche la tendenza a preenere eccessivamente. In generale non sono uccelli rumorosi, solo chiamate occasionali, di solito da Milo perché non ha una compagna. Sono facili da curare e non danno alcun disturbo. Non sono uccelli esigenti, ma amano interagire con te e ascolterebbero tutta la giornata mentre tu parli loro. I maschi parlano e dicono "bella bocca", "bravo ragazzo", "ti amo" e molto altro. Hi! We are a bonded threesome of Eclectus parrots. We have been with our current owners for 6 and a half years. Zanthea and Loki are the power couple of the flock, producing eggs at least 3 times a year. Zanthea is the sweetedt girl and even when hormones are raging she is still so sweet and placid. (as long as you don't go near her eggs!) Loki on the other hand will not tolerate the main carer during the breeding periods, he will bite so we tend to remove him from the room when cleaning etc. He seems to tolerate the man in the house though when he goes in to clean. Milo is a sweetheart always. All live freely in a large bird room with other parrots and have access to an outside aviary. History/Background: We were previously adopted by Problem Parrots, but due to a change of circumstances have had to return to the charity. Training: All will fly to you freely, but Loki can bite if hormonal, so Loki will need some work with this. Diet: Due to their special diets, they eat mainly fresh fruit and veg. They eat very little seed and will choose veg and fruit ober seed which is good when living amongst other species. Zanthea does have protein and calcium rich foods especially during and after her egg laying periods. Enrichment: The love nothing more than being in the outside aviary. They do play with wooden toys and will happily swing on ropes all day long. Zanthea and Milo love sitting on your shoulders while you go about your day. Zanthea loves daily baths r sprays and the the boys usually join in too. Summary: They would suit a home where they are free to go about their day, ideally a bird room or an aviary. They do get along with other birds very easily and will form friendships with them. Zanthea does tend to lay her eggs on the ground in a box, which is out of reach of the other birds above. Providing they do not go down to her box she is happy. We do remove the eggs once she has laid and replace with false eggs, which we remove after about 20 days. She was a fully feathered bird until she started breeding and the hormones kicked in. She also tends to over preen. All in all they are not noisy birds, just the odd calls now and then, usually from Milo as he has not got a lady. They are easy to care for and are really no bother at all. They are not needy birds, but do love to interact with you and they would listen to you talk to them all day long. The males do talk and say ‘pretty beak', ‘good boy', ‘I love you' and so much more.
