09-05-26 Nyssa is een erg onzeker meisje dat in onze zorg is gekomen van een fokker op zoek naar een nieuw begin. Ze vindt het momenteel een beetje overweldigend en zal tijd, geduld en begrip nodig hebben om uit haar schulp te komen. Ze voelt zich nog niet moedig genoeg om bij je te komen, maar laat je wel zachtjes haar vachten. Ze zoekt een rustige en stiltegezinde woning met adoptanten die haar laten wennen op haar eigen ritme. We zouden overwegen om haar te plaatsen bij voorzichtige, hondensavvy adolescenten. Nyssa verdraagt geweldig met haar kooi-vrienden en vertrouwt op hun gezelschap voor troost, dus ze zal een goedwillende en zelfverzekerde huisdier nodig hebben in haar nieuwe huishouden om haar te begeleiden en haar de troost te geven die ze nodig heeft terwijl ze zich aanpast en haar pootjes vindt. Aangezien Nyssa nog nooit in een huis heeft gewoond, moet ze leren over hondenvoeten, lopen met een riem en halsband en andere basisvaardigheden van het huiskomst. Een rustige en consistente aanpak helpt haar veilig te voelen en geleidelijk haar zelfvertrouwen op te bouwen. Nyssa is aangekomen met een hormonaal haarverlies, dat weer zal groeien nu ze gesteriliseerd is. Ze heeft ook een lichtjes onderkaak, maar dat veroorzaakt geen problemen voor haar. Nyssa is een zachtaardig klein wezentje dat alleen tijd en vriendelijkheid nodig heeft. Met het juiste steunnetwerk zal ze langzaam aanvoelen dat ze veilig is en laten zien wat voor liefdevolle companion ze potentie heeft om te worden. Deze hond kan worden geplaatst met een huisdier.

Nyssa is a gentle little soul who came into our care from a breeder in search of a fresh start. When she first arrived, she was finding the world quite overwhelming and needed plenty of time, patience, and understanding to help her feel safe. After spending a few weeks with us, Nyssa has already made such lovely progress and has really started to come out of her shell. She’s no longer the shy and worried girl we first met, but instead a curious and comical little lady who has absolutely stolen our hearts. Nyssa has discovered toys and absolutely LOVES them, along with tasty treats and gentle fusses under her ears. If she can make this amount of progress in such a short space of time at the rescue, we can only imagine how well she is going to blossom in a loving home environment. She is still building confidence with being picked up and handled, but she is already becoming much more comfortable and will happily plonk herself into a bed ready to be lifted up. Nyssa recently visited the grooming room for a little trim due to the warm weather, and she was an absolute dream throughout, standing beautifully even for the fiddly bits around her eyes. Nyssa gets on wonderfully with every dog she has met at the rescue and really enjoys being in their company, so we feel she would benefit from living with a kind and confident resident dog who can continue to guide and reassure her as she settles into home life. As Nyssa has never lived in a home before, she will still need help learning about house training, walking on a lead and harness, and all the usual basics of home life. A calm and consistent approach will help her continue to grow in confidence and feel secure in her new surroundings. Nyssa arrived with some hormonal alopecia, which should continue to improve now that she has been spayed. She also has a slightly undershot jaw, but this doesn’t cause her any problems at all. Nyssa is a truly darling little girl who just needs a loving home willing to continue the wonderful progress she has already made. Whoever welcomes her into their family is going to gain a very special companion. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
