Our Travolta, unlike the original, is not much of a dancer or a show-off. He has been at the Zoosanitario, probably abandoned by his previous owner, and it was the animal rescue association that pulled him out from there. We don't know his history. But some, like him, tell their story without speaking. Travolta is afraid of people. If you try to put a leash on him, he goes on the defensive, perhaps because the leashes he saw before only served to hurt him. Poor Podenco hounds, in the hands of individuals without scruples. Despite his fear, he is a good dog. He evokes much tenderness. In his bed, he likes to cover himself with the blanket, he does it by himself, though then he gets tangled and we have to help him get out. How much cold he must have endured without a blanket of his own. Maybe the animal shelter seems like a luxury to him, but certainly it is not. It's still cold and it's not a place to stay for long. He has back pain, perhaps as a reminder of some poorly administered beating. He receives his pain medication, but in a warm house with a good bed, he would improve significantly. Despite his fear and pain, he is a good dog. He likes to be spoken to gently, without shouting, and he is learning what petting is, and, look, it turns out he likes it too. He knows how to walk on a leash and in the field he gets more animated.

Nuestro Travolta, a diferencia del original, tiene poco de bailón y de marchoso. Ha estado en el Zoosanitario, probablemente abandonado por su anterior dueño, y de ahí lo ha sacado la Protectora. Desconocemos su historia. Pero algunos, como él, nos la cuentan sin hablar. Travolta tiene miedo a las personas. A pesar de su miedo, es un perro bueno. Despierta mucha ternura. En las camitas le gusta taparse con la manta, lo hace él solo, aunque luego se líe y haya que ayudarle a salir. Cuánto frío habrá pasado sin tener una manta para él. Tal vez el refugio le parece un lujo, pero desde luego no lo es. Sigue haciendo mucho frío y no es lugar para quedarse mucho tiempo. Le duele la espalda, tal vez como recuerdo de algún palo mal dado. Recibe su medicación para el dolor, pero en una casa, calentito y con una buena cama, mejorará bastante. A pesar del miedo y el dolor, es un perro bueno. Le gusta que le hablen dulcemente, sin gritos, y está aprendiendo lo que son las caricias, y, mira, resulta que también le gustan. Sabe pasear con correa y en el campo se anima.
