Laney została uratowana z ulicy i wabiła jedzeniem, kiedy została uwięziona okazało się, że miała obrażenie biodra, za które otrzymała operację i terapię fizyjterapeutyczną. Laney to bardzo ciekawy pies, który przezwyciężył wiele rzeczy, jest miłego charakteru i zabawny z innymi psami. Lubi przytuliny i opiekę ze strony personelu, który się nią zajmuje – wszyscy ją kochają. Jej uraz biodra, z którego jeszcze się odradza, nie powoduje problemów, ale potrzebuje spokojniejszego życia i nie będzie odpowiednia na wędrówki lub biegi. Może żyć jako jedyny pies lub z innymi szanującymi się, dobrze wynarzonymi psami. Myślmy, że spokojniejszy tryb życia poza dużymi miastami podobałby jej się z wielkimi przestrzeniami do eksploracji. Potrzebuje ogrodu i może szczęśliwie żyć z starszymi dziećmi, którzy zrozumieją, że musi być traktowana delikatnie. Laney zostanie kastrowany, szczepiony i przetestowany na wszystkie choroby śródziemnomorskie – będzie potrzebowała regularnej terapii fizyjterapeutycznej co 2 tygodnie, ale z czasem zmniejszy się do wymagania monitorowania i regularnych wizyt u weterynarza. Laney was rescued from the streets after being lured to safety with food. Once she was secure, it quickly became apparent that she had a significant injury to her hip. She went on to receive surgery followed by a long period of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Laney is such a lovely, spirited dog and has overcome so much. She is sweet-natured and playful with other dogs, and loves cuddles and affection from the team members who care for her — they all absolutely adore her. She has made an incredible recovery from her surgery. She has regained her weight and muscle mass, no longer has a limp and does not require any medication, physiotherapy or ongoing treatment. She can live a normal, active life, although because of her previous injuries we would be looking for a home where she can enjoy a slightly calmer pace of life. She would not be suited to intense or high-impact activities such as agility, regular running or very strenuous hikes. As with any dog who has experienced significant orthopaedic trauma, there is a possibility of stiffness or degenerative changes later in life, so maintaining a healthy weight and monitoring her mobility as she gets older will be important. Laney could live as an only dog or alongside respectful, well-balanced dogs, and she really enjoys playing with canine friends. We think she would be happiest outside of a major city, with plenty of green spaces to explore. She does need her own secure garden and could happily live with older children who understand that she should be treated gently and respectfully. Laney will be neutered, and is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
