Laney wurde von der Straße gerettet und mit Essen angelockt, sobald sie gefangen war, stellte sich heraus, dass sie eine Verletzung an ihrem Hüftgelenk hatte, für die sie Operationen und Physiotherapie erhalten hat. Laney ist ein sehr netter, lebhafter Hund und hat viel überwunden, sie ist sanftmütig und spielerisch mit anderen Hunden. Sie liebt Kuscheln und Zärtlichkeit von den Teammitgliedern, die sich um sie kümmern – sie alle lieben sie. Ihre Hüftverletzung, an der sie noch immer genesst, verursacht keine Probleme, aber sie benötigt ein ruhigeres Leben und wäre nicht für Wanderungen oder Laufaktivitäten geeignet. Sie könnte als Einzelhund oder mit anderen respektvollen, ausgewogenen Hunden leben. Wir denken, dass ein ruhigerer Lebensrhythmus außerhalb großer Städte mit vielen Grünflächen zum Entdecken ihr passen würde. Sie benötigt einen Garten und könnte glücklich mit älteren Kindern leben, die verstehen, dass sie sanft behandelt werden muss. Laney wird kastriert, geimpft und auf alle mediterranen Krankheiten getestet – sie wird weiterhin alle zwei Wochen Physiotherapie benötigen, doch dies wird im Laufe der Zeit auf nur noch Überwachung und regelmäßige Tierarztbesuche reduziert. Laney was rescued from the streets after being lured to safety with food. Once she was secure, it quickly became apparent that she had a significant injury to her hip. She went on to receive surgery followed by a long period of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Laney is such a lovely, spirited dog and has overcome so much. She is sweet-natured and playful with other dogs, and loves cuddles and affection from the team members who care for her — they all absolutely adore her. She has made an incredible recovery from her surgery. She has regained her weight and muscle mass, no longer has a limp and does not require any medication, physiotherapy or ongoing treatment. She can live a normal, active life, although because of her previous injuries we would be looking for a home where she can enjoy a slightly calmer pace of life. She would not be suited to intense or high-impact activities such as agility, regular running or very strenuous hikes. As with any dog who has experienced significant orthopaedic trauma, there is a possibility of stiffness or degenerative changes later in life, so maintaining a healthy weight and monitoring her mobility as she gets older will be important. Laney could live as an only dog or alongside respectful, well-balanced dogs, and she really enjoys playing with canine friends. We think she would be happiest outside of a major city, with plenty of green spaces to explore. She does need her own secure garden and could happily live with older children who understand that she should be treated gently and respectfully. Laney will be neutered, and is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
