Atualização 19.12.2024: Feliz CHAPPY nem sempre foi o idoso carinhoso e afetuoso que é hoje. Com muito amor e paciência, ele fez uma completa mudança de 180 graus - de um cão assustado que não podia ser tocado para... bem, veja por si mesmo! Ele é um verdadeiro exemplo de como o amor pode mudar alguém. Chappy agora se dá bem com as pessoas, adora abraços e ama seus brinquedos que fazem barulho. Atualização 9.7.2024: Chappy ainda está conosco. Ele é idoso e é preto. Ele terá que ficar toda a vida em um abrigo? Atualização 17.1.2023: Chappy ainda está feliz. Ele se tornou muito bom com as pessoas. Ele precisa de um pouco de tempo para se aquecer com homens que ele não conhece, provavelmente por causa do seu passado, mas também porque não tem muitos homens no abrigo. Ele é apenas um idoso feliz que aprecia todo tipo de atenção que pode receber. Ele adora abraços e seus brinquedos que fazem barulho, mas nunca os destrói. Ele é muito limpo, nunca faz suas necessidades dentro de sua cerca. Ele se dá bem com outros cães, mas sendo ele mesmo idoso, preferiria uma casa mais calma sem jovens barulhentos. Muito provavelmente não se daria bem com gatos. Sim, não se daria bem com gatos... Sua idade. 12? Bem, 10+ Atualização 31.12.2020 Chappy estava preso a uma árvore durante toda a sua vida. Chappy já é idoso e embora ele não agisse como um, parece entender que não há tempo para ele se compadecer ou ficar furioso o dia todo. Chappy não é nada como era quando chegou ao abrigo em julho. Ele está feliz agora. Ele pode ser idoso, mas ainda há tempo suficiente para ele experimentar o que é dar uma caminhada, dormir em uma casa quente, ter uma família que se importa com ele ou adormecer no sofá ao lado de seu humano favorito. Ainda há tempo suficiente para tudo isso, se houver alguém lá fora disposto a lhe dar uma chance. Não é Chappy, mas HAPPY! Atualização 23.11.2020: Descobriu-se que ele é na verdade um companheiro muito doce e carinhoso assim que confia em alguém. Sua história: Coloque-se em nossos sapatos. Alguém chega ao abrigo. Eles dizem que estão voltando para seu país e não podem levar seu cachorro de mais de 10 anos consigo e não querem abandoná-lo. O cão nunca foi vacinado, nunca foi castrado, nunca foi tratado contra parasitas e morde. Você o aceita? Coloque-se em nossos sapatos. Bem-vindo Chappy. Merda!

Update 19.12.2024: Happy CHAPPY hasn’t always been the gentle, affectionate senior he is today. With lots of love and patience, he did a complete 180—from a frightened dog who couldn’t be touched to… well, see for yourself! He’s a true example of how love can change someone. Chappy is now great with people, loves cuddles, and adores his squeaky toys. Update 9.7.2024: Chappy is also still with us. He is a senior and he is black. Will he have to stay his whole life in a shelter? Update 17.1.2023: Chappy is still happy. He has become very good with people. He needs a bit of time to warm up men he doesn´t know, Probably because of his past, but also because we don´t have many men at the shelter. He´s just a happy senior enjoying all kind of attention he can get. He loves cuddles and his squeaky toys, but never destroys them. He´s very clean, he never does his business inside his pen. He´s good with other dogs, but being a senior himself he´d prefer a more quiet home without any boisterous youngsters. Much likely not good with cats. Yeah, not good with cats… His age. 12? Well, 10+ Update 31.12.2020 Chappy was chained to a tree his whole life. Chappy is already a senior and though he doesn't act like one, he seems to understand that there's no time for him to pity himself or to be angry all day. Chappy is nothing like he was when he found his way to the shelter in July. He's happy now. He might be a senior, but there's still enough time left for him to experience what it's like to go for a walk, to sleep in a warm home, to have a family that cares about him or to fall asleep on the couch next to his favorite human. There's still enough time for all this, if there's someone out there willing to give him a chance. Not Chappy, but HAPPY! Update 23.11.2020: It turns out that he's actually a very sweet and cuddly fellow as soon as he trust someone His story: Put yourself in our shoes. Someone drives up outside of the shelter. They tell you that they are going back to their country and can't take their 10+ year old dog with them and they don't want to abandon it.The dog has never been vaccinated, has never been castrated, has never been treated for parasites and it bites.
