16-04-26 Olive veio até nós da Romênia como filhote com seus irmãos e foi rapidamente adotada. Infelizmente, ela foi recentemente devolvida pois encontrava a vida em uma cidade movimentada e em uma casa movimentada muito abrumadora. Ela buscará um lar calmo e silencioso, somente para adultos, onde ela possa se estabelecer no seu próprio ritmo. Embora ela possa socializar bem com outros cães, ela pode proteger sua comida de outros cães e prefere não compartilhar seu espaço a longo prazo. Ela não pode viver com gatos ou pequenos animais peludos. Olive pode ter dificuldade com ambientes movimentados e tráfego, então achamos que ela seria muito mais feliz em uma área mais calma, onde ela pode fazer caminhadas mais rurais. Ela também pode latir para barulhos altos e estranhos que visitam a casa, então isso é algo que seus adotantes precisarão estar dispostos a trabalhar com ela. Olive originally came to us from Romania as a puppy with her siblings and was quickly adopted. Sadly, she has recently been returned as she was finding life in a busy city and busy household too overwhelming. She will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home where she can settle at her own pace. We feel she would really benefit from adopters with experience of Romanian dogs. Olive would be happy to be homed as the only dog but she could also live with a male resident dog, although she can resource guard her food from other dogs so her adopters would need to ensure they were fed separately. She cannot share her home with cats or small furries. Olive can struggle with busy environments and traffic and so we feel she would be much happier in a quieter area, where she can go on more rural walks. She can also bark at loud noises and strangers visiting the home, so this is something her adopters will need to be willing to work on with her. Her adopters will need to be patient, calm, and consistent, helping her gradually build confidence and feel secure in her new environment. Olive is house trained but she may need gentle reminders as she adjusts to a new routine. She walks nicely on the lead and would love an active home where she can enjoy plenty of walks and adventures. Olive is a clever girl who already knows basic commands such as “sit” and “paw”. She is a very sweet girl who enjoys being close to her people, happily sitting beside you, though she isn’t overly fond of cuddles. When Olive first arrived back with us she was quite nervous and wouldn't approach us, but she has now grown so much in confidence and eagerly greets her kennel mummy every morning. She has also started going for walks with volunteers, which is helping her confidence blossom and is something that she really loves! She also loves chasing balls in our big play yard. With time, love and TLC, we think she will blossom into a wonderful companion, so please don't leave her waiting too long. Olive has tested negative for Brucella Canis. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
