Em dezembro de 2016, um homem dirigiu 7 horas para nos trazer uma cadela que ele havia encontrado amarrada com tanta força que mal conseguia se mover. Ela estava com uma ninhada de filhotes e severamente emaciada. Um dos filhotes era a Peta. Infelizmente, os outros filhotes morreram, e foi decidido levá-la para casa para criá-la à mão, já que a mãe não tinha mais nada a oferecer e ela teria morrido se tivéssemos deixado-a para trás. Ela começou a prosperar e cresceu para se tornar uma menina saudável e brincalhona. Hoje ela é carinhosamente conhecida como Peppa Pig, em homenagem ao desenho animado, e é feliz, saudável e amada.

In December of 2016, a man drove 7 hours to bring us a dog that he had found so tightly tied up that she could barely move. She had a litter of puppies with her and was severely emaciated. One of the puppies was Peta. Unfortunately the other pups died and the decision was made to take her to the house to hand rear her as her mother had nothing left to give and she would have died if we would have left her. She began to thrive and grew into a healthy, playful girl. Today she is affectionately known as Peppa pig after the cartoon and is happy, healthy and loved.
