I am Sara - proof that love and patience can work wonders. When I arrived at the shelter, I was a scared, angry, unapproachable dog. No one could entice me with treats, I would snap and hide. But the shelter workers and volunteers didn't give up. They kept coming to me, bringing treats and repeating that one day I would let their attention win me over and start trusting them. They were so patient and persistent that I actually became curious about who they were and what they wanted from me 😀 Little by little, I started to stick my nose out, first just through the bars, and later I stopped hiding even in the enclosure, allowing myself to be petted. And what do you think? One day, the ladies came, as usual, to feed, pet me, and I - a goofy girl, didn't even notice how they attached me to a leash and started leading me outside. I won't lie, I was a little scared, I didn't really want to leave my safe place, but as soon as I stepped out of the gate and sniffed, I realized that freedom in the meadows is a wonderful thing! How much fun I had! I ran, rolled around, sniffed every blade of grass and kept asking for pets. It was so good that from now on I'm really looking forward to every walk. And now I've even seen the sea! True, I don't have the opportunity to have so much fun every day at the shelter, but I've heard that dogs with homes have the luxury of going for a walk several times a day, and in the evenings they can snuggle up with their owners on the couch. So I say, maybe someone can take me to those homes? It would be very good and fun! I'm a friendly, calm, affectionate, non-confrontational and intelligent girl, so I would be a real treasure for a nice owner! Come and meet me and you'll see for yourself. I'm about 5 years old. 😍

Esu Sara – tikras įrodymas, jog meilė ir kantrybė daro stebuklus. Kai patekau į prieglaudą, buvau išsigandusi, pikta, nieko neprisileidžianti šunytė, niekam nepavykdavo manęs papirkti net su skanukais, šiepdavau dantis ir slėpdavausi. Bet prieglaudos darbuotojai ir savanoriai nepasiduodavo, vis ateidavo pas mane, atnešdavo skanių kąsnelių ir kartodavo, kad vieną dieną aš pasiduosiu jų dėmesiui ir pradėsiu pasitikėti. Jie buvo tokie kantrūs ir užsispyrę, kad, iš tiesų, man pasidarė įdomu, kas jie tokie ir ko iš manęs nori 😀 Po truputį vis labiau iškišdavau savo nosytę, pirma tik per grotas, o vėliau nebesislėpdavau jau ir į voljeriuką užėjus, leidausi paglostoma. Ir ką jūs galvojat, panos vieną dieną atėjo, kaip įprasta, pamaitint, paglostyt, o aš – žiopliukė, net nepastebėjau kaip mane prisegė pavedėliu ir pradėjo vesti lauk. Nemeluosiu, truputį išsigandau, nelabai norėjau savo saugią vietelę palikti, bet tik pro vartelius išėjusi ir pasiuosčiusi, supratau, kad laisvė pievose – nuostabus dalykas! Kaip man buvo smagu! Laksčiau, varčiausi, uostinėjau kiekvieną žolę ir vis prašiausi glostoma. Buvo taip gerai, kad nuo šiol labai laukiu kiekvieno pasivaikščiojimo. O dabar dar ir jūrą pamačiau! Tiesa, prieglaudoje neturiu galimybės kasdien tiek pramogauti, bet esu girdėjusi, kad namus turintys šunys turi prabangą kasdien eiti pasivaikščioti net po kelis kartus, o vakarais gali jaukiai įsitaisyti kartu su šeinininkais ant sofutės. Tai sakau, gal ir mane galit kas į tuos namus pasiimt? Būtų labai gera ir smagu! Aš tikrai draugiška, rami, meili, nekonfliktiška ir protinga panelė, tai būčiau tikras lobis fainam šeimininkui! Atvykite susipažinti ir įsitikinsite patys. Man apie 5 metai. 😍
