Fomos contactados sobre uma cadela-mãe que tinha dado à luz debaixo de um edifício abandonado. A mãe era muito desconfiada de nós, mas estava a cuidar muito bem dos filhotes, por isso íamos todos os dias alimentar a mãe e verificar como estavam os cachorros. Um dia, quando chegámos, eles tinham desaparecido. Mais tarde, descobrimos que tinham sido levados e abandonados na floresta. Conseguimos encontrá-los e levá-los de volta para o abrigo. Shumba foi um desses filhotes. Ele ainda está no abrigo e já está a ficar velhinho, mas isso não o impede de ser um rapaz feliz e carinhoso.

We were contacted about a mother dog who had given birth under an empty building. The mother was very wary of us and was doing a great job with the babies so we would go daily to feed the mum and check on the pups. One day when we arrived they were gone. We later found out that they had been taken and dumped in the forest. We managed to find them and take them back to the shelter. Shumba was one of those pups. He is still at the shelter and is getting old now but that doesn't stop him from being a happy, loving boy.
