ATUALIZAÇÃO: Sky está atualmente em acolhimento em Essex. Sky é uma bela rapariga, mas ainda é nervosa e precisa de um lar carinhoso e paciente para a ajudar a melhorar a sua confiança e sair do seu casulo. Ela vive atualmente com outros cães residentes e dá-se bem com eles, embora possa ser nervosa no início. Ela tem medo das pessoas e beneficiaria de um cão residente amigável em um lar a longo prazo para a ajudar a aprender as regras. Ela escolhe os seus próprios espaços seguros em casa e está gradualmente a aprender a confiar. Sky é uma cobaia de 5 anos, data de nascimento 02.09.20. Foi entregue ao abrigo pelo seu caçador, que já não conseguia cuidar dela. A pobre rapariga chegou muito nervosa com muitas inseguranças, ela aceitou a mudança para o abrigo com dificuldade, mas está lentamente permitindo que as pessoas a toquem. Com o tempo e com um adotante paciente, ela melhorará e deixará brilhar o seu verdadeiro e maravilhoso carácter. Infelizmente, os abrigos são difíceis para cães como Sky. Embora melhorarem com o tempo, é um processo lento comparado a estar num lar com uma família que a possa guiar na vida e mostrar-lhe que as coisas não têm de ser tão assustadoras.

UPDATE: Sky is currently in foster in Essex. Sky is a beautiful girl but is still nervous and needs a kind and patient home to help improve her confidence and bring her out of her shell. She is currently living with other resident dogs and getting on well with them, although she can be nervous at first. She is nervous of people and will benefit from a friendly resident dog in a home long term to help show her the ropes. She picks her own safe spaces in the home and is gradually learning to trust Sky is a 5 year old English Setter, DOB 02.09.20 Sky was given to the shelter by her hunter who could no longer look after her. The poor girl arrived very nervous with a lot of insecurities, she has taken the move to the shelter quite badly but is slowly allowing people to stroke her. In time and with a patient adopter, she will improve and let her true wonderful character shine though. Sadly, shelters are tough for dogs like Sky. Although they improve over time, it’s a slow process compared to being in a home with a family who can guide her through life and show her things don’t have to be so scary.
