Fomos contactados pelas redes sociais por alguém que havia encontrado Suerte perdida e a estava alimentando e abrigando dentro de uma quadra de Padel. Eles já a levaram ao veterinário e constataram que ela tem Leishmaniose e pediram-nos para intervir para ajudá-la. Ela já estava acostumada com eles e ficava feliz em ser acariciada, ter uma coleira e guia colocadas etc., então foi fácil levá-la a um de nossos abrigos de resgate. Ela está lá há cerca de um mês e está se saindo muito bem. Ela é sociável com outros cães, gosta de brincar com eles e também é ótima com as pessoas. Muito carinhosa e afetuosa e adora receber atenção. Ela é uma excelente companheira que se sairia bem em muitas casas. Acreditamos que ela seria uma excelente candidata para uma família com crianças. Ela não foi testada com gatos, mas isso pode ser organizado. Ela tem poucas exigências além de uma casa onde a Leishmaniose seja melhor compreendida. Ela está atualmente em uma casa de acolhimento na Espanha enquanto recebe o tratamento inicial para Leishmaniose e está se saindo muito bem. Ela está acostumada com todas as novas visões e sons que vêm morando em uma casa e se adaptou muito bem. Ela anda bem na coleira e viaja bem no carro. Suerte será esterilizada, vacinada e testada negativa para todas as doenças mediterrâneas, exceto Leishmaniose - como já mencionado, ela testou positivo e está recebendo tratamento. We were contacted on social media by someone who had found Suerte straying and had been feeding her and given her shelter inside a Padel court. They had already managed to get her to a vet and had determined that she has Leishmania and they asked us to step in to help her. Suerte has shown from day one that she wants to trust people. She was calm and easy to handle on rescue, happily accepting a harness and lead. When she arrived at the shelter, she needed a period of treatment for Leishmania, so a wonderful foster family stepped in and supported her through this. She has since returned to the shelter she enjoys the company of other dogs and loves playing with her kennel friends, though large groups can sometimes overwhelm her. Her love for people is constant. Suerte adores affection, follows volunteers around for cuddles and ear scratches, and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. She would make a lovely family companion and is likely to do well with respectful children. She has not yet been cat tested, but this can be arranged. Suerte walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys her twice‑weekly outings. Heavy vehicles can occasionally startle her, but she generally copes well with traffic, new places, and the excitement of exploring. Her only ongoing need is a home that’s comfortable managing her Leishmania with routine monitoring and care. With this in place, dogs like Suerte can enjoy long, happy, healthy lives — and she’s more than ready for a family to call her own. Suerte will be neutered, is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Leish - as already stated she has tested positive and is receiving treatment.
