Noggin the Nog2016 | Piebald | Gypsy Cob | Under 14,2hhNoggin har varit hos oss sedan hans räddning i början av 2017 och är nu en fullt utbildad 'Loanie Pony' på vår plan.Vi hade tur att hitta en fin familj där alla tre barnen tar hand om hans alla behov.Så här långt...Noggins särskilda fall fångade alla hjärtan. En stor grupp flugvallande hästar gav oss alla anledning till oro och trots ansträngningar att lösa situationen började ponys dö vid platsen. Det beslutades därför av RSPCA att ta hela gruppen, eftersom de alla ansågs vara i stort farligt läge.Rundningen gick bra men tack vare ett senast inlämnat beslut från RSPCA:s chefsskötare att göra en sista genomgång av fältet, gjordes en mörk upptäckt. Nästan osynlig i en hav av ler, hittade Mark vad som såg ut som resterna av en död unghäst.Bilderna här visar något av det skrämmande i situationen och den efterföljande räddningen som betydde att 'Noggin the Nog' förtjänade att leva för att kämpa en annan dag.Noggin var kanske förståeligt mycket sur och elak i de tidiga dagarna av hans återhämtning, men snart utvecklades han till en sött, kärleksfull pony älskad av alla som möter honom.Han spenderade tid wi

Noggin the Nog2016 | Piebald | Gypsy Cob | Under 14.2hhNoggin has been with us since his rescue in early 2017 and is now a fully fledged ‘Loanie Pony’ on our scheme.We were fortunate to find a lovely family where all three children attend to his every need.The story so far...Noggin’s particular case, captured everyone’s heart. A large group of fly grazing horses were giving us all cause for concern and despite efforts to resolve the situation, ponies began to die at the site. The decision was therefore made by the RSPCA to seize the entire group, as they were all considered to be at great risk.The round up went well but thanks to a last-minute decision to make a final sweep of the field by the RSPCA’s Chief Inspector, a grim discovery was made. Almost invisible in a sea of mud, Mark found what looked like the remains of a dead youngster.The pictures here go some way to show the horror of the situation and the subsequent rescue which meant that ‘Noggin the Nog’ deservedly lived to fight another day.Noggin was perhaps understandably very grumpy and sour in the early days of his recovery, but quickly developed into a sweet, loving pony adored by everyone who meets him.He spent time wi
