Noggin the Nog2016 | Piebald | Gypsy Cob | Under 14.2hhNoggin has been with us since his rescue in early 2017 and is now a fully fledged ‘Loanie Pony’ on our scheme. We were fortunate to find a lovely family where all three children attend to his every need. The story so far...Noggin’s particular case, captured everyone’s heart. A large group of fly grazing horses were giving us all cause for concern and despite efforts to resolve the situation, ponies began to die at the site. The decision was therefore made by the RSPCA to seize the entire group, as they were all considered to be at great risk. The round up went well but thanks to a last-minute decision to make a final sweep of the field by the RSPCA’s Chief Inspector, a grim discovery was made. Almost invisible in a sea of mud, Mark found what looked like the remains of a dead youngster. The pictures here go some way to show the horror of the situation and the subsequent rescue which meant that ‘Noggin the Nog’ deservedly lived to fight another day.Noggin was perhaps understandably very grumpy and sour in the early days of his recovery, but quickly developed into a sweet, loving pony adored by everyone who meets him.He spent time wi

About Noggin the

What life with Noggin the looks like

Noggin the is a large senior horse waiting at Here4Horses in United Kingdom.

Adopting a horse is a long-term commitment that almost always requires either land or a boarding stable. The shelter will discuss the horse's training level, vet history, and what kind of work or companionship they're suited for. Expect ongoing costs: feed, farrier, vet, and stabling.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Noggin the, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Noggin the?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Here4Horses handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Noggin the on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Noggin the if I live in another country?
Sometimes. Whether a horse can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Here4Horses what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Noggin the already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
What a horse comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Here4Horses directly what is included and what Noggin the still needs.
What happens if Noggin the isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Here4Horses early rather than rehoming privately; they know Noggin the and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
