Rico is a small big dog. His story, although sad, is not isolated. Adopted as a puppy, after 12 years he ended up in an animal shelter again. It must have been a big shock for him. No one was looking for him, no one missed him and now, in his old age, he's looking for a home again. By the cage, he will probably greet you with barking, but this is stress related to the situation he is in. On a walk, he is very well behaved, it's clear he has been on a leash, he doesn't pull, and he is indifferent towards other dogs. He tolerates touching and petting, but for now he doesn't seek it out. This is likely to change when he gets to know someone well and gains trust. For now, walks are typically dog things, sniffing and exploring the area. Rico is in very good physical condition, but he is overweight and is diligently working with volunteers to lose the excess weight. On walks, he confidently follows the caregiver, is interested in his surroundings, and seeks contact with people. Due to his age and his history, we are looking for a home for Rico that will provide him with warmth, stability, and good veterinary care for the rest of his life. And Rico will repay the love and loyalty to his caregiver.

Rico to mały wielki pies. Jego historia, choć smutna wcale nie jest odosbniona. Adoptowany jako szczeniak, po 12 latach znów trafił do schroniska. To musiał być dla niego wielki szok. Nikt go nie szukał, nie tęsknił i tak na starość znów szuka domu Przy boksie pewnie przywita cię szczekaniem, ale to stres związany z sytuacją w jakiej się znalazł. Na spacerze jest bardzo grzeczny, widać że chodził na smyczy, nie ciągnie, a w stosunku do mijanych psów jest obojętny. Lubi dotyk i głaskanie i jest przy tym uroczo nieśmiały. Zapewne zmieni się to, gdy kogoś dobrze pozna i nabierze zaufania. A póki co spacer to typowo psię sprawy czyli węszenie i zwiedzanie okolicy. Rico jest w dobrej formie fizycznej, ale ma nadwagę nad zrzuceniem której dzielnie pracuje ze wsparciem wolontariuszy. Na spacerze raźno podąża przed opiekunem, jest zainteresowany otoczeniem, szuka kontaktu z człowiekiem. Ze względu na wiek i jego historię szukamy dla Rico domu, który zapewni mu ciepło, stabilność i dobrą opiekę weterynaryjną na jesień życia. A Rico odwdzięczy się miłością i oddaniem opiekunowi.
