Mango

Male · Adult · 7 years

Meet our little "cloud" - the puppy Mango :) He is an adult dog with short legs, fluffy and soft like foam. His white coat (with a few black accents) makes him look a bit like a cloud that accidentally came down to earth. At first, he can be shy, often hiding in his kennel and easily overlooked while walking between the enclosures. Mango needs a moment and patience to trust a new person. But when he feels safe, he shows his true face: a warm, gentle dog who really likes closeness, cuddles, and petting. Mango walks at a calm pace, without rushing. He is becoming bolder in exploring and discovering the world with his nose. Other dogs interest him and he reacts to them with curiosity. We noticed that Mango is afraid of busy streets and louder places, so he will best find himself with a caregiver who will show him the world gently and without pressure. Please remember that such a beautiful coat requires proper care, brushing, and regular grooming. Mango is patient and friendly during these treatments. This is a dog for someone who can appreciate small steps and knows that the most beautiful relationships are built with patience. And when he opens his heart - he gives a huge amount of affection locked in a small, fluffy body. Meet Mango, give him a safe shelter forever.

Coraz śmielej węszy i poznaje świat swoim noskiem.

About Mango

What life with Mango looks like

Mango is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mango, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mango?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mango on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mango if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mango already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mango isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mango and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
