Maciuś is a dog who knows exactly what human love feels like. He had a loving home, and you can see it in every one of his looks, every wag of his tail, and every joyful greeting. He’s open, trusting, and eager for closeness—simply put, he loves being around people. Yet fate had other plans for him. For reasons completely beyond his home’s control—and entirely independent of himself—Maciuś ended up in a shelter. This isn’t a story of neglect; it’s the story of a dog who lost his place in the world, even though he was loved. Despite this change, Maciuś hasn’t lost his cheerful spirit. He’s pure joy on four paws—eager to go for walks, always seeking human contact, and snuggling into arms with immense trust. He’s a dog who gives his whole heart in return for every bit of attention he receives. Maciuś remains clean and tidy, which makes the shelter kennel a particularly challenging place for him. Each day reminds him how much he misses the simple comforts of a regular home life. He’s also a friendly dog who gets along well with other dogs. He previously lived with his little companion Pinio (808/25), and we’d recommend adopting them together—but it’s not a strict requirement. They both do fine living separately as well. Maciuś doesn’t destroy things and respects his surroundings; he loves sleeping on soft blankets. This just goes to show how well-adjusted he is.
