Adopt 15 STRACONYCH LAT

Mixed Breed · Male

His kitten was a large multi-generational family. None of them reacted when they tied him to a heavy chain right behind the crumbling fence as a squishy little ball. Over the following long years as he grew, they only loosened the chain around his neck. In the meantime, they took in two dogs to which they blew smoke while holding them on the couch, and the poor, honest Puszek watched enviously as the well-fed and happy ones played with colorful balls. They didn't even let them approach him to prevent any from getting sick, as Puszek, starved, dirty, and louse-ridden, had become bald. The dull villagers watched the drama of the dog daily, waiting for his death. Day by day, month by month, year by year, the broken Puszek stood on his chain, eating what the home dogs left behind. When we found out about him, he barely held on. Starved, frozen, and bald, Puszek almost as much desired his death as his owners. However, we couldn't allow this broken by humanity dog to give in. With trembling hands, we untied him from the frozen chain, asking him to hold on for just a moment longer and promising through our tears that he would be happy and would finally see how beautiful life could be. After three months, the time had come to fulfill our promise. Puszek came to himself. From 9 kg, he gained weight to 14. He was thoroughly examined, including an echocardiogram, and was treated, vaccinated, and neutered. His rotten teeth were removed, the sores in his mouth were healed, and finally, he began to live without pain. Good food and super care DT changed him beyond recognition. His fur grew back, the boy became more confident, and we hope he had forgotten those who were not worthy to be his guardians. Puszek is an older gentleman. He sleeps a lot and sleeps. Like any chain dog, he has no problem walking on a leash. He also gets along with other dogs but decidedly prefers the company of humans over play with friends. Loving, responsible Home that will catch up the 12 lost years awaits Puszek in Teresin, near Sochaczew. Tel.

Puszek doszedł do siebie. Z 9 kg przytył do 14. Został porządnie przebadany łącznie z echem serca oraz odrobaczony, zaszczepiony i wykastrowany. Popsute ząbki zostały usunięte, przetoki w buzi wyleczone i w końcu zaczął żyć bez bólu. Dobre jedzenie i super opieka DT zmieniły Go nie do poznania. Dużo wypoczywa i śpi. Tel.ws.adopcji 606 854 980

About 15 STRACONYCH LAT

What life with 15 STRACONYCH LAT looks like

15 STRACONYCH LAT is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pionkowskie Towarzystwo Opieki nad Zwierzętami in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Frequently asked

Adopting 15 STRACONYCH LAT, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about 15 STRACONYCH LAT?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pionkowskie Towarzystwo Opieki nad Zwierzętami handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw 15 STRACONYCH LAT on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt 15 STRACONYCH LAT if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pionkowskie Towarzystwo Opieki nad Zwierzętami will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is 15 STRACONYCH LAT already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if 15 STRACONYCH LAT isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pionkowskie Towarzystwo Opieki nad Zwierzętami early rather than rehoming privately; they know 15 STRACONYCH LAT and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
