2 Halsbandsittiche

Unknown · Adult · 4 years

Two approximately 3-4 years old healthy birds living together as a pair. They have a large aviary and are accustomed to flying free. Unfortunately, they need to be rehomed due to health reasons. The two must stay together. A home with a large aviary and flying space is needed, for people who really know about ring-necked parrots or larger parakeets. Contact: Snezana Trifunovic Brakel Email:

About 2 Halsbandsittiche

2 Halsbandsittiche is a large adult bird waiting at Tierheim Paderborn in Paderborn.

Birds are long-lived, social, and noisy. The species and individual history matter enormously — ex-companion parrots can carry strong attachments and trauma. Ask the shelter about their daily routine, diet, and whether they'd do best alone or with a flockmate.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting 2 Halsbandsittiche, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about 2 Halsbandsittiche?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Paderborn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw 2 Halsbandsittiche on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt 2 Halsbandsittiche if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a bird can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Paderborn what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is 2 Halsbandsittiche already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a bird comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Paderborn directly what is included and what 2 Halsbandsittiche still needs.
What happens if 2 Halsbandsittiche isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Paderborn early rather than rehoming privately; they know 2 Halsbandsittiche and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
