Adopt 7 Schafe

Unknown

New calls echo from the stable. First comes the neighing, then the clucking, and now one can even hear the bleating? Indeed! Seven sheep—four of them lambs—have been given a new chance at life. By chance, we learned that an existing sheep farm had to be dissolved. Together, we decided to use our available stable space to provide asylum for seven animals. This is only possible due to the construction of the stable. The three boys have been neutered. We are looking for a family that already has sheep or has space for fuzzy friends. We do not allow breeding new sheep or slaughtering! Our sheep want to live a fulfilling and long life, which is why we rescued them from becoming sausages! We wish for the 7 Schafe a year-round outdoor stay in an open stable of at least 15qm with pasture. Everything must be securely fenced.

About 7 Schafe

What life with 7 Schafe looks like

7 Schafe is a small adult animal waiting at Tierheim Heppenheim in Germany.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows 7 Schafe far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting 7 Schafe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about 7 Schafe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Heppenheim handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw 7 Schafe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt 7 Schafe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Heppenheim will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is 7 Schafe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if 7 Schafe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Heppenheim early rather than rehoming privately; they know 7 Schafe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
