Adopt Aadu

Mixed Breed · Unknown

ARMAS NURRUMOOTOR AADU OOTAB KOGU SÜDAMEGA OMA INIMEST! Born in 2017, Aadu is a small old gentleman with a big heart. He is a very good listener, a walker and a kicker of sticks. When he is being pampered, his purring can be heard from one end of Estonia to the other. Aadu is also very polite, greeting you every morning with his big eyes and waiting patiently for his breakfast. He is spry and takes his medicine nicely, allows himself to be bathed and even enjoys swimming. The cat has funny facial expressions and evening exercises that distract people. A quiet home environment suits Aadu well. He likes to sleep in a cabinet or on a windowsill. Aadu loves attention and it is difficult for him to share it with other cats. He is very friendly and gets along well with people. Aadu has FIV+, which means his immune system is somewhat weaker than average. However, this does not affect his quality of life, and he is always a happy cat! Learn more about FIV from our blog: In addition, Aadu is a diabetic and must receive special food and medication daily. If Aadu has captured your heart, please review our adoption conditions and fill out the form for Aadu by clicking the green button "I want to adopt this animal". Aadu's foster home will then contact you and answer any questions that may arise.

ARMAS NURRUMOOTOR AADU OOTAB KOGU SÜDAMEGA OMA INIMEST! 2017. aastal sündinud Aadu on suure südamega väike vanamees.

About Aadu

What life with Aadu looks like

Aadu is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Pesaleidja MTÜ in Pesaleidja.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aadu, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aadu?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pesaleidja MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aadu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aadu if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pesaleidja MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aadu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aadu isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pesaleidja MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aadu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
