NOT JUST A SIMPLE BLACK-AND-WHITE ROVER IS LOOKING FOR HIS HOME! Rover, born in 2019, arrived at the Shelter on April 1, 2024, from Lääne-Harju parish. This cat has a strong black-and-white coat with clearly visible white markings against the dark fur. Definitely not just a simple black-and-white. Completely unique, completely special Rover!!! Rover is still a bit shy and needs time and patience to adjust, but in a home environment, the boy will surely feel better and may even find people in his home not so scary. There have been many progress - there have been situations where when offering treats to the dogs, Rover immediately appears on the scene. And an even bigger step - he is willing to lick a treat from a person's finger! He has never dared before, not even when he really wanted to lick something good. So, the boy has taken a big brave first step towards being able to be handled. Never lose hope! It just requires a lot of patience! If you want to offer him a home and a sense of security, click on the "I want to adopt this animal" button, get familiar with the adoption conditions and fill out the pet adoption questionnaire, and we will contact you soon.

MITTE-LIHTSALT-MUST-VALGE ROVER OTSIB OMA PESA! 2019. aastal sündinud Rover saabus Pesaleidjasse 1.04.2024 Lääne-Harju vallast. Lihtsalt on vaja suurel hulgal kannatlikkust!

About Rover

What life with Rover looks like

Rover is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Pesaleidja MTÜ in Pesaleidja.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rover, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rover?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pesaleidja MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rover on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rover if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pesaleidja MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Rover already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rover isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pesaleidja MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rover and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
