Zoja EKH, female/spayed, born July 2022, surrendered due to owner's illness The beautiful Zoja was given up to us reluctantly because her owner could no longer care for her due to his illness. Before coming to us, the lovely cat lived alone in a single-cat household. Unfortunately, such cats often develop into true scratching furies and have great difficulty adjusting to life in a shelter due to a lack of contact with other cats and imprinting issues. Fortunately, Zoja is made of different stuff - she was initially quite shy and often hid in her scratching post, but within a few days, the ice was broken and Zoja was always in the thick of things. She loves her roommates and enjoys being close to them and will happily share a portion of food with them; however, she prefers human affection, especially in the form of petting and cuddling. We hope Zoja's future will be with a loving female cat or a true gentleman who will sweep her off her feet - preferably in a single-cat household. Abgabekatze Zoja EKH, weiblich/kastriert, geboren im Juli 2022, Abgabe wegen Erkrankung des BesitzersDie hübsche Zoja wurde schweren Herzens bei uns abgegeben, weil ihr Besitzer sich aufgrund seiner Erkrankung nicht mehr ausreichend um sie kümmern konnte.Bevor die überaus freundliche Katzendame zu uns kam, lebte sie allein in reiner Wohnungshaltung. Leider entwickeln sich solche Katzen aufgrund mangelnder Kontakte mit Artgenossen, sowie Fehlprägungen oft zu wahren Kratzfurien und haben große Probleme, im Tierheim klar zu kommen. Zoja ist da glücklicherweise aus einem ganz anderen Holz geschnitzt – sie zeigte sich zu Beginn noch recht schüchtern und versteckte sich oft in ihrer Kratztonne, doch bereits nach einigen Tagen war das Eis gebrochen und Zoja immer mitten im Geschehen.Sie mag ihre Zimmergenossen sehr und ist gerne in deren Nähe und teilt sich auch ohne Probleme mal eine Portion Futter mit diesen; noch etwas besser findet sie allerdings menschliche Zuneigung, vor allem in Form von Streichel- und Schmuseeinheiten. Wir wünschen uns für Zojas Zukunft eine vorhandene liebe Katzendame oder auch einen wahren Gentlemen, der ihr den Hof macht – gerne wieder in reiner Wohnungshaltung.
