Adopt Adi

Unknown

Adi When Adi came to us, he was already posing in the cage in Szpitalik as a real mizik. Who wouldn't give a portion of affection to a dying skeleton? small cat couldn't eat because of his mouth condition and was wandering around the street. Vultures - fleas and ticks - had already gotten to him. He immediately started making up for it after the removal of the black, rotting teeth. Today, the small cat has a beautiful, shiny coat and is gaining weight. He remains a mizik and has to be carried. He comes or even runs to greet, stands on two paws and waits to be picked up. He is energetic and cheerful. He has no problems in relations with cats, although he hasn't formed any friendships with any of them. It's hard to assess Adi's age. We don't know his previous history. Except of course that some "person" messed up again. How come such a beloved cat was wandering the streets and dying of starvation? Adi is ready for adoption. Neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed, vaccinated, chipped. He is located in Toruń. He's waiting for a home. Adi is virtually supported by:

Adi Kiedy Adi do nas trafił, już w klatce w Szpitaliku pozował na mega miziaka. Kto by nie dał porcji pieszczot umierającemu szkielecikowi? Wykastrowany, FIV/FeLV ujemny, odrobaczony, zaszczepiony, zaczipowany. Znajduje się w Toruniu. Czeka na dom. Adiego wirtualnie wspiera: Rysia z Krakowa

About Adi

What life with Adi looks like

Adi is a adult cat waiting at Fundacja Kot Toruń in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Kot Toruń handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Kot Toruń will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Kot Toruń early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
