Perełka Perełka arrived at our shelter barely alive, could not catch her breath, was suffering from pneumonia. For 4 days it seems she ate nothing and just lay weak on the straw. At the beginning of treatment she still did not want to eat, we fed her liquid food. She preferred to breathe rather than eat... During the observation after treatment, we noticed that she still had difficulty breathing. The cat was sent for an endoscopic examination, which revealed that her reconstructed larynx causes narrowing in the trachea and thus unusual wheezing. The cat was supposed to have a laryngeal lateralization procedure, but the doctor did not undertake the operation, instead recommending another diagnostic that did not reveal the source of the problem. Then the kitten had further consultations and endoscopies in Tczew, where she also had the remaining teeth removed. The larynx makes minimal movements, there is no complete paralysis, although the kitten has narrowing and wheezes when breathing, so after further consultations we decided against surgical treatment. Perełka generally feels well, plays, is lively and could spend the rest of her life at home, not in the cattery, but her chances of adoption are slim. Perełka is virtually supported by:

Perełka Perełka trafiła do nas ledwo żywa, nie mogła złapać oddechu, pokonywało ją zapalenie płuc. Od 4 dni podobno nic nie jadła i tylko słaba leżąc na sianku. Na początku leczenia nadal nie chciała jeść, karmiłyśmy ją płynną odżywką. Wolała oddychać niż jeść… W trakcie obserwacji kotki po leczeniu zauważyłyśmy, że nadal źle oddycha. Kotka pojechała na diagnostykę endoskopową, okazało się, że jej przebudowana krtań powoduje zwężenie w tchawicy i stąd nietypowe świsty. Kotka miała mieć zabieg lateralizacji krtani, ale lekarz nie podjął się wykonania operacji, za to zalecił nam kolejną diagnostykę, która nie wykazała źródła problemu. Potem koteczka była jeszcze na kolejnych konsultacjach i endoskopii w Tczewie, tam miała usuniętą też resztę zębów. Krtań podejmuje minimalne ruchy, nie ma w niej całkowitego paraliżu, choć koteczka ma zwężenie i świszczy oddychając, to po kolejnych konsultacjach odstąpiliśmy od leczenia chirurgicznego. Perełka ogólnie czuje się dobrze, bawi się, jest żywiołowa i mogłaby resztę swoich dni spędzić w domu, a nie w kociarni, ale jej szanse na adopcję są znikome. Perełkę wirtualnie wspiera: Mów Mi Wilku
