He loves to accompany you around the house and comes by regularly for a cuddle. When he's relaxed, he can purr delightfully. He prefers a quiet life. Sleeping is his favorite pastime, but he also enjoys a bit of excitement. A catnip toy can get him excited! In the morning, he lets you know he's awake with a friendly meow. He needs some time to adjust to a new environment. He's not scared, but he likes to observe first before joining in. Once he trusts you, he enjoys being close to you. He doesn't like being held, but he'll gladly lie down next to you if you're sitting quietly. His ideal home is a quiet household where he can adjust at his own pace. A busy household or young children wouldn't suit him well. He's used to indoor living and would prefer to keep it that way. He also gets along well with men. There's one practical thing: he can't quite see the edge of the litter box, so a closed litter box would be nice so he doesn't accidentally step over the edge. Hoi, ik ben Maestro, een kater van 14 jaar en een echte liefhebber van rust en regelmaat. Ik ben graag lekker op mezelf, maar dat betekent zeker niet dat ik geen gezelligheid zoek. Ik loop graag met je mee door het huis en kom regelmatig even langs voor een knuffel. Als ik eenmaal lekker lig te genieten, kan ik heerlijk hard spinnen. Mijn dagen breng ik het liefst rustig door. Slapen vind ik heerlijk, maar af en toe een beetje uitdaging doet me ook goed. Vooral een speeltje met kattenkruid kan mij enthousiast maken! In de ochtend laat ik je trouwens graag weten dat ik wakker ben: zodra ik je hoor opstaan, laat ik van me horen met een gezellig miauwtje. Ik heb even tijd nodig om aan een nieuwe omgeving te wennen. Ik ben daarbij niet bang, maar kijk liever eerst rustig de kat uit de boom en ga vervolgens lekker mijn eigen gang. Als ik je eenmaal vertrouw, vind ik het fijn om bij je in de buurt te zijn. Op schoot liggen is niet echt mijn ding, maar als jij rustig zit, kom ik graag gezellig bij je liggen. Mijn ideale thuis is een rustig huishouden waar ik de tijd krijg om op mijn eigen tempo te wennen. Een druk gezin of jonge kinderen passen niet zo goed bij mij. Ik ben gewend om binnen te leven en dat zou ik graag zo houden. Met mannen kan ik trouwens ook prima overweg; daar ben ik absoluut niet bang voor. Er is nog één praktisch dingetje: ik zie niet helemaal goed waar de rand van de kattenbak is. Een dichte kattenbak zou daarom fijn zijn, zodat ik af en toe niet per ongeluk over de rand ga.
