A wonderful dog that is waiting for you at the dog shelter! Islay, a mixed-breed dog that looks a lot like a labrador, with a beautiful champagne-colored coat, medium to large size, about 30 kg, presumed birth in November 2020 and confined in the dog shelter for years due to abandonment. It is a very sociable dog with people: it constantly seeks contact and interaction, showing great confidence and desire for company. However, it does not yet know how to behave, so sometimes it appears a bit uncoordinated and immature in its approach. It wags its tail low, is lively and festive, with the enthusiasm typical of a large puppy. On a leash it walks, but it still needs to improve and learn to manage its movements better. With cats it is curious, sniffs them with interest, but as soon as they move it gets scared and runs away: it is inexperienced in everything! Unfortunately, it is also inexperienced in interactions with other dogs. It does not know how to behave and tends to approach directly, physically and a bit intrusively, risking to annoy the other and create tensions. We think that with good guidance it can be a fantastic dog that can live in a family, with children, cats and other dogs. It is located in a private accredited dog shelter in the province of Rome but we also place it in the north, after the necessary pre-adoption home checks, vaccinated, spayed, tested for leishmaniasis and obviously with a microchip.

Un cane meraviglioso che ti sta aspettando in canile! Islay, meticcio che ricorda tanto un labrador, dal bellissimo pelo color champagne, taglia medio grande, 30 kg circa, nascita presunta novembre 2020 e recluso in canile da anni in seguito ad abbandono. È un cane molto socievole con le persone: cerca costantemente il contatto e le interazioni, mostrando grande confidenza e voglia di compagnia. Tuttavia, non sa ancora bene come comportarsi, perciò a volte appare un po’ scoordinato e immaturo nelle sue modalità di approccio. Scodinzola con la coda bassa, è vivace e festoso, con l’entusiasmo tipico di un cucciolone. Al guinzaglio cammina, ma deve ancora migliorare e imparare a gestire meglio i movimenti. Con i gatti è curioso, li annusa con interesse, ma appena si muovono si spaventa e scappa: è inesperto in tutto! Purtroppo lo è anche nell’interazione con gli altri cani. Non sa bene come comportarsi e tende ad avvicinarsi in modo diretto, fisico e un po’ invadente, rischiando così di infastidire l’altro e creare tensioni. Pensiamo che con una buona guida possa essere un cane fantastico che può convivere in famiglia, con bambini, gatti e altri cani. Si trova in un canile privato convenzionato in provincia di Roma ma lo affidiamo anche al nord, dopo le dovute verifiche preaffido, vaccinato, sterilizzato, testato leishmania e ovviamente con microchip.
