Adua

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

A friendly, loving, and rather quiet female puppy named Adua is waiting to give her heart away. Adua is one of eight puppies who were abandoned on the street with her mom. Fortunately, our Bulgarian animal rescuers were able to save the little family and bring them to safety. Now all Adua needs is a loving home or foster placement where she can start her life in a safe environment. Adua is a friendly, loving, and rather quiet puppy. She gets along well with other dogs and also approaches people openly and openly. In her new home, Adua can arrive at her own pace. Life as a family dog is still completely new to her, so she first needs to learn all the important things - from house training to staying alone to car rides and the many sounds and impressions of everyday life. Adua wants people who give her security, accompany her lovingly and discover the world with her. She is looking forward to long walks, age-appropriate activities, many cuddle moments and a life as a beloved family member. A puppy not only brings joy, but also needs time, patience, loving upbringing and understanding to grow into a loyal companion. Who gives Adua the chance at a happy dog life and a forever home? Adopting a rescue dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack with past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to settle into their new life. If you are seriously interested in adopting Adua, please contact the responsible mediator of SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very happy to provide a foster placement. Here is Adua's video.

In ihrem neuen Zuhause darf Adua ganz in ihrem eigenen Tempo ankommen.

About Adua

What life with Adua looks like

Adua is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adua, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adua?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adua on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adua if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adua already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adua isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adua and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
