Adopt Honden ter adoptie

Romanian Street Dog · Female · Young · 3 years

This lovely lady is named Aisa. Her estimated birthdate is September 2022, and her height is around 50 cm. Aisa was abandoned along with her brother Agon in a small town near the Sos Dogs Romania animal shelter together with some other pups. Unfortunately, we increasingly see puppies being abandoned on the street, without any chance of survival. Fortunately, Eva found them and they were allowed to go to the animal shelter. This sweet girl has already been in our country, Netherlands, looking for her owner for a longer time. Aisa is a very kind and cheerful girl. She plays a lot with the other dogs and loves attention and cuddles. She walks on a leash and is housebroken. She also really likes swimming. Aisa likes people but is very shy around new people and in new situations. She is a very kind and gentle dog. She will need a lot of time to adjust to a completely new situation in a new home. Her ideal home has a safe garden and a dog companion. We are looking for people with patience, so she can calmly get used to everything, so that she can quickly show her beautiful loving character. She definitely has that! Aisa is in the Netherlands. If you are interested in Aisa, please send us a message with your living and work situation and any experience you have with dogs. After an intake conversation, if you are a match, an appointment can be made to visit and collect her from our small shelter in Didam. Aisa is The adoption fee is €390. This is a contribution to the costs such as spaying/neutering, the trip to the Netherlands, European pet passport, chip and vaccinations. Read also the adoption information and our adoption conditions. This animal is microchipped.

Aisa is in Nederland. About Honden ter adoptie

What life with Honden ter adoptie looks like

Honden ter adoptie is a small young adult romanian street dog dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Needs time to adjust to new situations and people due to shyness

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honden ter adoptie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honden ter adoptie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honden ter adoptie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honden ter adoptie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honden ter adoptie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honden ter adoptie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honden ter adoptie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
