Ajack

Husky · Male · Young · 3 years

Ajack is a smart husky with a big personality and an even bigger dose of energy. He is an active dog who loves movement, adventure, and doing things together. Long walks, running, and playing make him the happiest — he is absolutely not a couch potato. Ajack is also very focused on his owners. He builds a strong bond and visibly enjoys attention, teamwork, and going out together. In the right hands, he is a loyal and dedicated companion. We are looking for an experienced and active owner who can guide his energy and provide the structure he needs. A house with a well-fenced yard is essential so he can safely burn off his energy. Ajack will not be placed with other dogs, as he does not get along well with them. Cats are also not a match for him. So he is looking for a home where he is the only four-legged animal and receives all the attention. Give Ajack the exercise, clarity, and involvement he needs, and you will get a fantastic, faithful dog in return. If you are interested, please fill out the form:

NL·Show original

About Ajack

What life with Ajack looks like

Ajack is a large young adult husky dog waiting at Dierenasiel De Knuffelpootjes in Menen.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ajack, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ajack?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenasiel De Knuffelpootjes handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ajack on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ajack if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierenasiel De Knuffelpootjes will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ajack already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ajack isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenasiel De Knuffelpootjes early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ajack and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
