Adopt Aladin und Nana

Lop Rabbit · Female · 1 year

Names: Aladin und Nana Gender: male-neutered and female Age: he 01/2023 and she ca. 05/2021 Special: Nana has Angora fur The rabbit pair Aladin (Ram) and Nana are looking for a home with people who are not intimidated by more involved fur care. Nana is more shy around people. It is important that she gets her fur regularly clipped to prevent matting. After the painful loss of her long-term partner "Otti," she now lives with Aladin. Aladin's brother had issues with his ear canals. Therefore, one should also consider such a problem with Aladin. Additionally, his cheek teeth should be monitored.

About Aladin und Nana

What life with Aladin und Nana looks like

Aladin und Nana is a small adult lop rabbit rabbit waiting at Tierheim Wiesbaden in Wiesbaden.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

Note from the shelter: Nana requires regular grooming to prevent matting of Angora fur. Aladin may have ear canal issues like his brother and needs dental monitoring.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aladin und Nana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aladin und Nana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Wiesbaden handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aladin und Nana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aladin und Nana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Wiesbaden will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aladin und Nana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aladin und Nana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Wiesbaden early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aladin und Nana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
