We are Alaska and Nevada, two cat sisters searching for our Forever Home. One night we were all set outside the animal shelter with our mom and siblings. Shortly after, we, the little ones, fought against Panleukopenie, and not all made it. We did – it brought us closer together. I, Alaska, overcame the illness without complications. I am the more reserved of the two, a bit cautious, but very gentle. And I am Nevada. I still have ataxia, which means my movements are sometimes a bit wobbly. But I am cheerful, full of energy, and love to play and run. My sister is always by my side. We complement each other perfectly, giving each other security and orientation. In a loving, patient family, we can flourish. Even at the animal shelter, we show every day how much joy we have inside us. Now we just need a place where we can grow up with lots of love. Maybe it’s with you?

Wir sind Alaska und Nevada, zwei Katzenschwestern, die zu zweit ihr Für-Immer-Zuhause suchen. Man setzte uns eines Nachts mit unserer Mama und unseren Geschwistern vor dem Tierheim aus. Kurz darauf kämpften wir Kleinen gegen Panleukopenie an und nicht alle haben es geschafft. Wir schon – das hat uns zusammengeschweißt.Ich, Alaska, habe die Krankheit ohne Folgen überstanden. Ich bin eher die Ruhigere von uns beiden, ein bisschen vorsichtig, aber sehr sanft.Und ich bin Nevada. Bei mir ist eine Ataxie geblieben, das heißt, meine Bewegungen sind manchmal etwas wackelig. Aber ich bin fröhlich, voller Energie und liebe es zu spielen und zu rennen. Meine Schwester ist dabei immer an meiner Seite.Wir ergänzen uns wunderbar, geben uns Sicherheit und Orientierung. In einer liebevollen, geduldigen Familie können wir aufblühen. Sogar im Tierheim zeigen wir jeden Tag, wie viel Lebensfreude in uns steckt.
