Het verhaal van Alberto: Alberto heeft eerder bij een gezin in Turkije gewoond, maar helaas bleek deze plaatsing niet succesvol. Soms gebeurt dit wanneer mensen onderschatten hoeveel tijd, aandacht en toewijding er nodig zijn om goed voor een hond te zorgen. Daarom werd Alberto opgenomen in het asiel. Het asiel vroeg of Wereldhonden een baasje of gezin voor hem kan vinden dat hem de stabiliteit, zorg en liefde kan bieden die hij verdient. Dankzij een gastgezin hebben we Alberto naar Nederland kunnen halen. Hij verblijft in de opvang met 2 andere honden. Alberto is een parmantig en enthousiast ventje. Zijn grootste hobby? Wandelen! Zodra hij naar buiten mag om de wereld te ontdekken, begint zijn staartje enthousiast heen en weer te zwaaien. Hij is nieuwsgierig en gaat graag op avontuur. Door al dat enthousiasme wil hij aan het begin van een wandeling nog weleens aan de lijn trekken, maar met wat begeleiding zal hij dat snel leren. Andere honden vindt Alberto nog best spannend. Hij wil graag kennismaken, maar als het contact te dichtbij komt, kan de spanning hem soms teveel worden en reageert hij uit onzekerheid met een snep. Daarom is het belangrijk dat hij leert om andere honden aan de lijn rustig te passeren. Thuis is Alberto een fijne en gezellige huisgenoot. Hij speelt graag met zijn opvangbaasje en geniet zichtbaar van de aandacht. We vermoeden dat hij in zijn jonge leven niet altijd even goed behandeld is. Daardoor vindt hij het nog lastig om aangeraakt of opgetild te worden. Wanneer je zijn koppie aait, kan hij wat in elkaar krimpen en zich onderdanig opstellen. Met geduld, rust en positieve ervaringen zal zijn vertrouwen steeds verder groeien. Alberto is keurig zindelijk, maakt niets kapot in huis en slaapt 's nachts rustig in de woonkamer. Met de twee honden van zijn gastgezin gaat hij uitstekend om. Buiten wandelen ze gezellig naast elkaar en ook een uitstapje naar de volkstuin vindt hij heerlijk.
