Albina was found on the streets of Bosnia with a tumor under her belly as big as a football. It was removed and we let her come to the Netherlands because of the icy cold in Bosnia. Albina is about 6 years old and 40 kg, but she can still gain some weight. She also needs to build up her muscles by walking, which she hasn't done for a long time. Albina is a Tornjak, which are used to protect sheep from wolves and jackals. She is no longer suitable for this, but fortunately she loves to lie indoors. Albina is a very calm and affectionate dog who likes every human. She is best brushed and cuddled for hours. We have not heard her bark and she does not guard either. She lets everyone friendly on the farm. Ideal if you are looking for a dog that scares away with her appearance but does nothing. Strangers dogs need to get used to her. Own dogs and cats are fine. She walks very calmly on a leash but can also run loose. Albina will be sterilized, vaccinated, chipped and dewormed soon. She can be admired in a foster home in Hoogeveen.

Albina werd gevonden op straat in Bosnië met een tumor onder haar buik zo groot als een voetbal. Deze is verwijderd en we lieten haar naar Nederland komen vanwege de ijzige kou in Bosnië. Albina is ongeveer 6 jaar oud en 40 kilo maar daar mogen nog wel wat kilootjes bij. Ook moet ze weer spieren opbouwen door te lopen, dat heeft ze ws lange tijd niet gedaan. Albina is een Tornjak, die worden gebruikt om de schapen te beschermen tegen wolven en jakhalzen. Daar is ze niet meer geschikt voor, maar gelukkig vindt ze het heerlijk om binnen te liggen. Albina is een hele rustige aanhankelijke hond die ieder mens aardig vindt. Ze wordt t liefst uren geborsteld en geknuffeld. We hebben haar nog niet horen blaffen en ze waakt ook niet. Ze laat iedereen vriendelijk op het erf. Ideaal dus als je een hond zoekt die wel afschrikt door haar uiterlijk maar niets doet. Vreemde honden moet ze wel even aan wennen. Eigen honden en katten gaat prima. Ze loopt heel rustig aan de riem maar kan ook los. Albina wordt binnenkort gesteriliseerd, is geënt en gechipt en ontwormd. Ze is te bewonderen in een opvanggezin in Hoogeveen.
