Adopt Aleksander Iii (b40)

Male

Aleksander Iii (b40) - kitten caught on Wileńska street. Aleksander III did not ask the person for help. He lived his own way - he was free, cautious, relying only on himself. He ended up in the animal shelter because he needed treatment. For a cat who had never known human closeness, the shelter conditions are a huge stress. Noise, confinement, strange smells and people. Everything is difficult and incomprehensible for him. Unfortunately, during the diagnosis it turned out that Aleksander III is suffering from feline leukemia (FeLV). This diagnosis has ruled out his chances of living outside the animal shelter. Due to the safety of other cats, he must remain under the care of the animal shelter, although he very badly tolerates being confined. Aleksander III is not a cat that comes for a stroke. He does not trust humans and probably will not for a long time. Behind his withdrawal lies simply a frightened cat, whose life did not give him the time or conditions to learn that humans can mean something good. We are looking for support for him above all. Good words, shares and people who want to remember the cat whose world has suddenly shrunk. Aleksander III deserves a calm, safe life and to not be completely alone despite everything. FiV and FelV are infectious diseases that are dangerous only for the given species. Cats with positive results are therefore not a threat to humans or other animal species. A cat that is dealing with these diseases has a weakened immunity, may get sick more often, and catch colds more easily. However, it should be remembered that a cat we take care of, who lives in warmth does not necessarily have to be sick, it can live a long and happy life. It will definitely help to use diet supplements for immunity. Cats with FiV/FelV can live with other infected cats, or live as "only ones". ul. Hałas, zamknięcie, obcy zapachy i ludzie.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aleksander Iii (b40), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aleksander Iii (b40)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kielce handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aleksander Iii (b40) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aleksander Iii (b40) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kielce will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aleksander Iii (b40) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aleksander Iii (b40) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kielce early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aleksander Iii (b40) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
