Alfie – kruising groot ter adoptie

Male · Puppy · 3 months

Alfie is a five-month-old Greyhound mix who is officially certified as a Greyhound in Training. He has had quite an adventure already. He was at DOA because his previous owner didn't take good care of him. He doesn't know exactly what went wrong, but he knows he and his siblings ended up in a safe place where everyone was very kind. And then... POOF! A foster family came and said, "Come on, little one, we're going to show you the world." Well, I didn't say no twice. I'm a Greyhound, after all: we were born to run, discover, and stick our long legs in everywhere. But to be honest... I've had some things that still make me a little nervous. When there's a sudden loud noise - BAM! - I get so scared that my legs almost get tangled. Then I run straight to my foster family for support. As soon as we check what's going on together ("Oh... it was just a door closing... oops"), I'm my happy, playful self again. Then I play with my housemates. The two older dogs always say I need to be calm. Calm? I'm five months old and my legs are longer than my future plans. Calm is for later. But I'm trying, sometimes. A little bit. Luckily, I have my favorite kong and my floss rope. When I get those, I'm in my element. And when people come over? Well, I'm just happy. Everyone is fun. Really everyone. Even people on the street who have no idea who I am. I greet them like they're coming to my birthday party. And after all that racing and jumping, I love to curl up on the couch with you for a nap. Because yes, even a Greyhound rocket needs to recharge. Oh, and important: I'm housebroken! At least... I'm a puppy, so I have to learn again in a new environment. But I know how it works, I'm smart. And fast. And sometimes a little wobbly. But mostly very sweet.

Hoi! Iedereen is leuk. Echt iedereen.
