Alola

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Alola is a charming female dog in her prime. At around 8 years old and 25 cm tall, she brings a perfect blend of zest for life, calmness, and cuddling needs. Alola loves long walks and adventures just as much as cozy evenings on the couch. After an exciting exploration of the world, there is hardly anything more beautiful for her than snuggling up close to her favorite person and enjoying their time together. Alola generally gets along well with other dogs. However, she would prefer to be the only princess in her new home. After all, she wants her humans' undivided attention. In everyday life, Alola is a great companion. She walks excellently on a leash, is house-trained, and is strongly oriented towards her caregivers. People she has once accepted into her heart, she loves with all her heart. She is extremely attached, loyal, and wants to be as close to her humans as possible. Leaving her alone is currently still a bit difficult for her, but she is already making great progress and becoming more and more confident. Especially in new or unfamiliar situations, Alola first looks to her human for orientation and then masters even unknown challenges very well. Therefore, she is looking for people who can give her security and show her the way with loving consistency. One of her very special passions is cuddling. Alola is a real lap dog and enjoys being pampered. She particularly likes to sit on her human's lap with a good view and watch attentively what's going on around her. As cute as that is: In addition to a lot of love, Alola needs clear rules and reliable boundaries so that life together remains harmonious. A turbulent household with young children would not be the right thing for her. Alola's playful, loud children can quickly overwhelm her. Therefore, she is looking for a rather quiet home with older children or exclusively adult humans. The little lady also has a quite pronounced need to communicate. If a cat passes by the window or the neighbor's dog meets her in the hallway, she likes to inform her humans about these important news. After all, she always keeps a close eye on her surroundings. And one more warning to all interested parties: Beware of Alola's gaze! She masters the famous dog's gaze perfectly and manages to win hearts in no time. Whoever meets her hardly has a chance to escape her charm. For her new life, Alola is looking for people who enjoy joint walks and activities, at the same time give her security, structure, and loving guidance, and of course want to give her plenty of cuddle time. A quiet home without young children and preferably as the only princess would be her greatest happiness. Whoever gets to know Alola should be warned: The danger of losing your heart to this little cuddly mouse is enormously high. Alola is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-free. She is only available for adoption after a positive preliminary check against a deposit. Thank you Lea! You gave Alola her name! Status: 03.10.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Lea! Du hast Alola ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 03.10.2026

About Alola

What life with Alola looks like

Alola is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Alola, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Alola?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Alola on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Alola if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Alola already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Alola isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Alola and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
