Alpinistka

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 3 months

Meet the extraordinary kitten Alpinistka! Alpinistka is a real cat treasure. Unfortunately, her story did not start happily. She arrived at the animal shelter in 2023 as a small kitten. A beautiful, fluffy kitten, with the whole world open before her. When she grew up, she was ready to find a new home. Every day was full of cat mischief. And then, from one day to the next, she started feeling worse. She had no interest in games, she was weak. After weeks of tests and diagnosis, it turned out that she suffers from an autoimmune disease - hemolytic anemia. Her body was destroying red blood cells. Immediately, treatment was initiated. Today, her results and condition are getting better. We are full of optimism. Alpinistka is an exceptional cat who deeply touches hearts. Not to mention her enchanting coat and crazy green eyes. She is very gentle and friendly. She gets along very well with the cat companions sharing her room. The time at the animal shelter is made easier by her friends. The little cat Pirat was by her side every day when she felt worse. Tosiek lay beside her and warmed her up. She always had someone by her side, someone she could snuggle into and forget about the whole world. And she could always count on us, we love spending time with her. But we cannot replace her real family. Alpinistka is a wonderful cat who needs a lot of love and very careful care. We are looking for someone who has experience with a cat requiring regular check-ups and medication. Above all, a home that will love her with all its heart, just as she is, and give her a safe corner for the rest of her days. Cat companionship is welcome. Come, love, adopt! Poznajcie wyjątkową kotkę Alpinistkę! Alpinistka to prawdziwy koci skarb. Niestety jej historia nie zaczęła się szczęśliwie. Trafiła do schroniska w 2023 roku, jako mała kruszynka. Piękne, puchate kociątko, przed którym świat stał otworem. Gdy podrosła, była gotowa, by znaleźć nowy dom. Mile widziane kocie towarzystwo. Przyjdź, pokochaj, adoptuj! About Alpinistka

What life with Alpinistka looks like

Alpinistka is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Alpinistka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Alpinistka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Alpinistka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Alpinistka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Alpinistka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Alpinistka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Alpinistka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
