Adopt ALVARO

Mixed Breed · Male

Meet Alvaro – Our Guardian Boy At Los Infiernos Dog Shelter, there’s a very special boy waiting far too long for his chance… and we truly don’t know why. Alvaro is a medium-sized dog with a heart as big as his personality. He even has sponsorship towards his adoption to help him get started in his new life! Alvaro is a strong boy for his size and can pull on the lead — not because he’s naughty, but because shelter life can be frustrating and overwhelming. Once he calms down, you see the real Alvaro… a beautiful, loyal, loving soul who just wants to feel safe and understood. What makes him extra special? He is the protector of his kennel mate, a slightly timid girl who feels unsure around new people. Alvaro gently shows her that everything is okay He stands tall, reassures her, and gives her confidence. It’s the sweetest thing to witness. This boy has so much love and loyalty to give. He just needs someone to see past the kennel walls and give him the home he deserves. Please help us find Alvaro his forever family. About ALVARO

What life with ALVARO looks like

ALVARO is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Murcia) in Lips Rescue.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting ALVARO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ALVARO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Murcia) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ALVARO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ALVARO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Murcia) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ALVARO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ALVARO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Murcia) early rather than rehoming privately; they know ALVARO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
