American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 4 years

Photos: Sascha Lamozik-Feenstaubentertainment American Staffordshire Terrier I am male, vaccinated, microchipped, and born in July 2020. I am just under 60cm tall. I have been waiting since August 2022 for a new home. My caretakers say about me: Pumba was given to us due to missing lease agreement fulfillment and the landlord's consent. Initially, Pumba was rather subdued upon greeting, his enthusiastic reunion joy was expressed with full body involvement. Also on the leash, Pumba follows several strategies: I give it my all without regard for losses or: I run impressively and mimic the model student or: I have no interest and just lie down. Nowadays, he runs quite well with us, and our flight training with Pumba is rarely on the agenda. Overall, he is a willing learner and easily motivated. He loves two-leggeds and is a very well-mannered young dog. From grumpy fellow animals, he is only occasionally spurred on, usually the two-leggeds by his side are his object of desire. His compatibility with others still needs to be tested, and he can only be rehomed as a second dog to a balanced and sovereign female dog. Since there is still a lot of work and training needed for fine-tuning, Pumba can also be taken as a single dog, of course with the appropriate handling of fellow animals in dog training classes. Other animals do not need to be in the new home, and if they are, you must prepare for the corresponding socialization program. The fulfillment of the conditions should be self-evident, after all, Pumba does not want to lose his home again. He can already stay quite well on his own, is very conscientious about cleanliness, and car rides are no problem.

What life with American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211 looks like

Frequently asked

Adopting American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Schkortitz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Schkortitz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Schkortitz early rather than rehoming privately; they know American Staffordshire Terrier Pumba &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
