14-08-26 Amethyst is a sweet girl who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She can be a little skittish at first but is easy enough to handle once we have her and actually begins to enjoy a fuss. She gets on nicely with her kennel friends and seems to enjoy having them around her. As Amethyst gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. Amethyst has never lived in a home before, so she will need to learn all about house training, lead training, and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and give her time to adjust to everything at her own pace. She will need her adopters to have experience with ex-breeders to better understand her, and she can live with older, dog-savvy teens aged 13+ who are sensible. Amethyst has arrived with a wound on her right flank, so we are making sure this is looked after and will monitor it as she heals. She is a lovely little girl who is still finding her confidence, but with a friendly dog by her side and a patient family, we hope she will soon feel safe enough to show off more of her sweet personality. She has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
