Angel

Boston Terrier · Female · Senior · 10 years

Angel by name, Angel by nature. Little Angel has so much love to give and loves to be showered with affection by her handlers. Angel gets all the snacks she desires, her favourite is cheese, and she loves to play raggy with her toys! She always greets handlers with a wiggly bum and will come running over for cuddles. She really is a little ray of sunshine and will make the perfect little lap dog for her lucky new family! Apply to adopt today and favourite Angel! Angel is a 10-year-old Boston Terrier with the sweetest soul who would love her new family to give her a safe space to call home. Due to being partially sighted and hard of hearing, Angel will need to be given adequate time to settle into the home before being left alone. Eventually, her leave hours could be built up to 4 hours as long as this includes breaks. Angel could live with another dog, as long as they are well-matched, pending meets at the centre. Angel could also live with primary-aged children, provided they can understand her needs as an older dog with some medical needs. Angel may benefit from having a safe space in the home, such as a crate, so that she has somewhere separate for rest, for example, overnight or when being left alone. She does have some medical considerations that will be discussed with our team, pending a booking.

About Angel

What life with Angel looks like

Angel is a senior boston terrier dog waiting at Dogs Trust Harefield in Harefield.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Angel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Angel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Harefield handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Angel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Angel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Harefield will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Angel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Angel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Harefield early rather than rehoming privately; they know Angel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
