Angel

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

Approx 8 months old as of May 2026 Not yet, too young Just Look at that face! Angel is currently staying with a wonderful fosterer in a home boarding environment (Gloucester area) and to say she’s a dream dog is an understatement. At just 8 months old, Angel is already incredibly clever. She’s the kind of puppy who watches you closely, tilts her head when you speak, and tries her absolute best to understand you. But her real superpower is her emotional intelligence. Angel has completely transformed the energy around the other dogs. If a dog comes in scared, unsure, or shut down, Angel steps in as a comfort blanket. She helps them feel safe, teaches them how to play, and encourages them to venture out. She is a natural healer at such a young age. She loves companionship and would thrive in an active home with another dog to guide her and keep her company. She can be a little unsure when meeting new humans at first, but once those treats appear, she thinks you are the greatest thing on earth All Angels siblings have found their happy endings, and now it’s Angel’s turn. In return for a little patience and a lot of love, she will give you a lifetime of loyalty, laughter, and devotion. We are looking for a rural/semi rural home with a nice secure garden with lawn and a friend for Angel to play with. Someone with the time and patience to help Angel transform into the amazing girl we know she is destined to become. If you think you can meet Angels needs please fill out a registration form and one of our rehoming team will be in touch. As you can imagine, each one of our dogs is very precious to us, they haven’t had the best start in life and therefore it is absolutely crucial we find the right homes for them. When you complete a registration form, please tell us as much as you can about why you are looking to adopt a dog and how you think you can meet their needs. Every dog is an individual and our amazing rehoming team will know exactly what type of home each dog needs to thrive. For example, will the dog cope with a small garden or is it the type of dog who needs to live in a rural environment? Will the dog enjoy being around children, or is it best suited to an adult only home? Will it cope sharing a home with other pets, or is it best as an only dog? Are you outdoorsy types who like to go hiking, or would you prefer a dog who is happy to snuggle up on the sofa with you? Our rehoming team will be very familiar with the needs of each of our dogs and the information you provide on your application form will help them to match you with the right dog. If you’ve got any questions or would like to learn more about 1 Dog At A Time Rescue, feel free to get in touch.

About Angel

What life with Angel looks like

Angel is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at 1 Dog At A Time Rescue UK in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Angel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Angel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 1 Dog At A Time Rescue UK handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Angel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Angel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 1 Dog At A Time Rescue UK will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Angel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Angel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 1 Dog At A Time Rescue UK early rather than rehoming privately; they know Angel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
