Angela

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Angela has found her home! Her story: Angela was not born on the streets. Her story began with a little puppy who was adopted full of hope. But she was given up again after a short time - for a reason that is hard to understand: She was too attached to her owner. The little puppy came to an older couple living in seclusion in the mountains and barely had enough to live on themselves. There she gave birth to three puppies, one of whom was Angela. The family did their best, but the possibilities were limited. Food was scarce and as the puppies grew bigger, they began to hunt chickens out of hunger. While the female dogs could be spayed in time, the male dog was hit by a car before his castration and had to undergo a serious operation. Because our foster homes were completely overcrowded, it took almost a month until we could take over the little family. Today Angela is finally safe. Angela seems to have retained her zest for life despite everything. She is a cheerful, playful young dog who loves people above all else. She seeks their proximity, enjoys every caress and rejoices in every attention. She also shows herself to be exceptionally friendly and uncomplicated with other dogs and cats. Nevertheless, Angela is still at the very beginning of her life. Much will be new for her - living in a house, walks in unfamiliar surroundings, everyday noises and fixed routines. Puberty is not long over yet and sometimes she will surely try out where her limits lie. With patience, loving consistency and a positively working dog school, she will develop into a wonderful companion. We wish Angela people who enjoy accompanying a young dog on his way through life. People who appreciate her cheerful nature and show her that a home is a place to stay. Angela has been chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-free and spayed. She travels with an EU pet passport and will be placed after a positive pre-control, protection contract and deposit. She would also very much appreciate a suitable foster home. Many thanks to her namesake Ker W., who gave Angela her name and thus a piece of identity. Status: 04/07/2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Angela

What life with Angela looks like

Angela is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Angela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Angela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Angela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Angela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Angela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Angela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Angela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
