Angelo - currently in foster to adopt

Greyhound · Male · Young · 2 years

Meet Angelo, racing name Tee Emyee Angel, who is 3 1/2 yrs old (DOB 12/12/2022). Angelo is a handsome black lad with the most amazing ears! He is very friendly and enjoys a fuss. He walks nicely on the lead and has been fine with other dogs we have meet on our walks so far. We are still getting to know him, he's quite nosy out in the paddock and wants to know whats going on around the yard. He gets on well with the other greyhounds and would be happy as a second hound or on his own with someone around for at least part of the day. He travels well in the car and is happy to go out on his walks. Angelo seems like a kind boy who doesn't jump up but can be a little distracted by what's going on around him. He's still getting used to life out side the racing kennels and he finds everything fascinating at the moment. Angelo has been used to children at the trainers kennels but is not cat friendly. We will post more information as we get to know him.

About Angelo - currently in foster to adopt

What life with Angelo - currently in foster to adopt looks like

Angelo - currently in foster to adopt is a young adult greyhound dog waiting at Greyhound Trust Shropshire and Borders in United Kingdom.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting Angelo - currently in foster to adopt, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Angelo - currently in foster to adopt?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Greyhound Trust Shropshire and Borders handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Angelo - currently in foster to adopt on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Angelo - currently in foster to adopt if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Greyhound Trust Shropshire and Borders will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Angelo - currently in foster to adopt already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Angelo - currently in foster to adopt isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Greyhound Trust Shropshire and Borders early rather than rehoming privately; they know Angelo - currently in foster to adopt and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
