adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Angelo has found his luck! His story: Angelo could travel to his foster home in late August and is now waiting for his very own home! Angelo is estimated to be around 8 years old and has a size of about 55 cm. In his foster home, Angelo has already learned a lot, he walks on a leash, is house-trained, and even stays calm and well-behaved when left alone. Angelo tends to be a bit of a food hog, and that should still be worked on. We unfortunately cannot place him with cats in his new home. With fellow animals, he shows compatibility. Angelo is looking for people who are fully committed to him and want to spend time with him. He wants to please, wants to do everything right, and wants to learn. He wishes for a quiet home with a relaxed but routine everyday life. Angelo is a herding dog. He also shows corresponding traits. He watches and keeps a good eye on his area. It would be great for him if his new owners have a fenced-in yard. He is not suitable for an apartment in the city. Herding dogs are independent personalities that require the owner to have consistency and empathy and the ability to deal with an intelligent, independent acting dog. But they bring great qualities with them. People who already have experience with herding dogs do not want any other breeds anymore, as they, despite their thick skulls, are very loyal and faithful companions. Our Angelo is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas in his new home. He will be placed with positive adopters who will give the lovely Angelo a beautiful life with people who love and care for him. Angelo also welcomes foster placement offers. Many thanks to Miri A.! You have given Angelo his name and thus an identity. Heartfelt thanks to Vanessa H. for your monthly sponsorship! As of: 21.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Er will gefallen, will alles richtig machen und möchte lernen. Vielen Dank an Miri A.! Stand: 21.03.2022

About Angelo

What life with Angelo looks like

Angelo is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Angelo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Angelo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Angelo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Angelo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Angelo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Angelo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Angelo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
