ANGUS

European Shorthair · Unknown · Kitten

ANGUS was found in a trash can, extremely thin and covered in urine. He was taken to a veterinarian who then entrusted him to us. Despite this difficult start to life, ANGUS is a fighter and doesn't hold any grudges against humans. He's a small guy. He's playful and quick. He gets along well with the other cats in the family. He's clean. He probably has a connection to Mac, as they were found in the same place. They cause all sorts of trouble together! Real little rascals! As of 27/04/2026: after some health issues, ANGUS is back up for adoption. He's a little mischievous who loves stealing his aunt's shopping receipts and then parades around the apartment, all proud! He enjoys the company of other cats, especially for playing with them, but he's more persistent than them and can play for two hours with a stuffed mouse while the others take a nap.

About ANGUS

What life with ANGUS looks like

ANGUS is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Refuge Rêves de chiens in Viry-Châtillon.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting ANGUS, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ANGUS?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge Rêves de chiens handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ANGUS on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ANGUS if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge Rêves de chiens will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ANGUS already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ANGUS isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge Rêves de chiens early rather than rehoming privately; they know ANGUS and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
